Inspiring Inkin Annual Catalogue 2014-2015 Launch Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to my Blog, Paper, Stamps and Sticky Things and our Inspiring Inkin Blog Hop!

Well it's that time of year again where we get our new annual catalogue full of gorgeous craft goodies, new products, colours and papers.

Here's my creation using some of the new products available on July 1st, exciting!

I've created a scrapbook layout featuring my eldest daughter getting stuck in the mud on an Autumn walk up a our local hill.

I created the background using the Gorgeous Grunge set to give it a splattered mud effect.  I then added the tiny flowers from the new set, Something to Say using one of our new "In" colours, Lost Lagoon.

I wanted to frame the photographs as the layout looked to plain with just the stamped back ground, I mounted them onto the new paperstack Moonlight which is full of gorgeous prints and patterns and the new "in colours" palette, I love it!

The journaling cards are from the Project Life Set, Everyday Adventure, the quote and dates are from the stamp sets Remember This and Day to Day.  These three items are all featured on the Project Life pages of the new catalogue.

The title of the my layout was created using the letter stickers from the Project Life Accessory Pack which I have changed to match my layout using Early Espresso ink.

I hope I have tempted you into trying out scrapbooking some of your favourite pictures.

Enjoy the rest of the blog hop.

Retirement List is here....

I'm sorry my list is going up a bit later than some of the other Demo's as I have been sunning myself in Gran Canaria, catching up on some good books and eating far to much Tapas.

But I'm back in the UK and ready to get crafting!

It's always sad to see some of my favourite stamps retiring but I always know there are some new and exciting things to come.

If you would like to purchase items from the retirement list go to my online shop HERE to view a full list of retired stamps and accessories.

Once you have checked out the list you can order directly from my shop or call me on 07551979745.

One Sheet Wonder

I love this technique of taking a blank sheet and using your stamps and inks to create a unique piece of patterned paper .

I have used these three gorgeous colours, Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz and Wisteria Wonder.

I then randomly stamped using the sets, Secret Garden, Papaya Collage and Petit Petals.

We created three projects including the pop up box card which is all over Pinterest at the moment.

As the box card is quite tricky I wanted to keep the other two projects nice and simple.

The measurement and putting the box together can be quite tricky and all my class were not confident with making one of these back at home so I created this short tutorial.

Hope you like it xxx

Telford Regional Training

What a busy weekend I have had!
Last Saturday was regional training with 300 other Stampin Uppers.  It was a great day meeting up with other Demo's sharing ideas, swapping projects and just having a day of crafting fun.

I was lucky enough to win one of the prize patrols and the fact that it was Project Life was even better I cant wait to see this in the new catalogue .

Frozen Party

The new Disney animation Frozen has caused quite a stir in our house, we have watched it I don't know how many times and the soundtrack is either being played or sung by one of the girls.

Chloe's friend had a Frozen themed party at the weekend and I was asked to come up with something for them all to create.

I knew a face painter was coming along and the faces that she creates are amazing, so I thought it would be nice for the children to have something to keep the pictures from this special day in.

I decorated a box from for them to put a picture in from the day, it was full of icicles, shimmer, sparkle and rhinestones.

Just the ticket for a Disney party.

We stamped the Smokey Slate background paper with the Silver Metallic Encore Pad using the Festive Flurry, I didn't think I would be getting this set out in the middle of May!
We then stamped and die cut more of the snowflake images to decorate around the photograph.
We finished off with some dazzling diamonds sparkle and lots of Rhinestones.

Supplies Used:

Stamps:  Festive Flurry
Ink: Encore Metallic Pad
Paper:  Whisper White, Smokey Slate, Costal Cabana
Embellishments:  Rhinestones
Accessories:  Festive Flurry Dies

Tidy Up Time

My craft space had got into a bit of a pickle and needed some essential TLC.
So today was the day as I needed to get organised and sort out all of my mismatched paper,  embellishments and all of the items that haven't seen daylight for the last 12 months because they at the back of the cupboard.

I eventually finished and I am sooo pleased with the finished result.

Now for some organised crafting!

As I had run a Daisy inspired class that week I decided to run this with my Friday ladies as well although I simplified the card slightly.
They all enjoyed the class and were pleased with their finished cards although one lady wanted to see more pink so that colour is definitely on the colour scheme for this weeks class.

Paper:  Natural White, Whisper White, Baked Brown Sugar, Gold Foil Sheet

Butterflies and Daisies

The sun has been shining and what a great way to spend an
evening, crafting with 11 lovely ladies where we created two gorgeous cards and a little gift box.

Butterflies and Daisies were the inspiration for the evening.  I have used the Papillion Potpourri set which is a favourite among my class and teamed it with Gorgeous Grunge.  This card was one I made for the "Colour Throwdown" Challenge and so many liked it, it was definitely one we needed to make.  I created a mini box to match the card using the Scallop Tag Topper Punch.

Secondly we created a Daisy inspired card, using the gorgeous grunge and the Blossom Party Die.

The daisies look like they are just opening up to the sunshine and the Feel Goods sentiment worked perfectly to finish this card.

Below is a list of supplies used.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Gorgeous Grunge, Papillion Potpourri, Feel Goods, Secret Garden
Inks:  Soft Sky, Pistachio Pudding, So Saffron, Sahara Sand, Early Espresso, Old Olive
Paper:  Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Natural White, Baked Brown Sugar
Embellishments:  Natural Thread, Rhinestones, Gold Sequin Trim
Accessories:  Itty Bitty Butterfly Punch, Elegant Butterfly Punch, Blossom Party Die, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch, Blender Pens.

Scrapbook Sunday

Another instalment of Scrapbook Sunday for all of you scrapbookers out there.  I really enjoy scrapbooking and it was one of the reasons I joined Stampin Up! as everything co-ordinates perfectly.
I wanted to create a clean and simple layout ready for my first scrapbook class on Saturday.  Although the ladies coming are all cardmakers they are all new recruits to the world of scrapbooking and I wanted the layout to be one that everyone could have a go at.

So I decided on the Retro Fresh paper which I love, its fun and funky and can be used for a number of photographs and occasions.

I have created a grid where 4 small photographs can be added.  I then added the Banner Blast bunting, but it was just missing something and that's where the amazing Washi Tape just tied everything together.

If you would like to create this layout below is a list of supplies.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Hello Lovely
Inks:  Costal Cabana, Baked Brown Sugar, So Saffron
Paper:  Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Costal Cabana, Baked Brown Sugar, So Saffron, Retro Fresh
Embellishments:  Washi Tape, Gold Sequin Trim
Accessories:  Banner Punch

Hoppy Easter Everyone

I hope the Easter Bunny has been to visit you all today.  I know he has been to our house so chocolate is definitely on the menu.  We have a great day planned spending time with our families  I am cooking up a storm in the kitchen with Roast Beef and all the trimmings, then we will be joining Tim's parents and sister for an Easter Egg Hunt in the garden.
Well on my Pinterest search for an Easter Bunny I came a across a post by Stickstickcut who had made a bag into a bunny.  So out came my Stampin Up! Kraft bags and I followed the instructions to create this delightful little bunny, complete with pink bunny ears and a little heart nose.

We are enjoying a busy Easter Sunday, how are you spending yours?
